About Precision Pinholes

Precision Pinholes is part of the Micromachining Division of Oxford Lasers. Since 1977, Oxford Lasers has been supplying laser solutions to science and industry.

University Spin-out

Oxford Lasers was founded in 1977 by physicists from Oxford University whose research had been directed towards the study of new, yet practical, laser devices. Initially the company focused on the manufacture of Excimer lasers and Copper Vapour Lasers. Since 1990 we have manufactured laser-based systems incorporating lasers of all types, with an increasing emphasis on solid state lasers.

Our sub-contract service offers a wide range of standard and custom pinholes and can laser drill micro-holes into customer supplied parts (e.g. special nozzles, sealed packages, orifice plates etc).

We offer:

- Micro-machining services including large-scale subcontract manufacture, and

- Advanced laser micromachining systems incorporating industrial grade nanosecond, picosecond and femtosecond lasers from the IR to the deep UV.

In addition to being able to supply pinholes on a sub-contract basis, Oxford Lasers can also supply laser micro-drilling and micro-cutting systems to customers when volumes grow to the point where in-house manufacture becomes the desirable. This makes Oxford Lasers your ideal partner for any scale of micromachining production.
